Stanzas is a light and sound installation, produced in 2011 for the 54th Venice Biennale ILLUMInazioni, curated by Bice Curiger. It creates an immersive environment, in which the lighting technique blends with a complex sound narrative. Several characters find themselves on the set of a possible film, discussing the nature of the film image, the poetic vision, and the power of rituals, even as scenes of the film itself are shot. Noises and voices from the set blend with noise, music and dialogs, opening a space between the ritual time of the shooting and the (mental and real) screening of the film itself.
