Palazzo Re Rebaudengo is an 18th-century historic building whose internal structure\u2014shaped by successive construction phases over time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The palace was adapted into an exhibition space by architects Corrado Levi, Alessandra Raso, and Alberto Rolla, based on a project that respected the existing architectural layout and led to the inauguration of the exhibition center in 1997. The restoration emphasized the connection between past and present through the use of contemporary materials such as concrete and galvanized iron, while allowing flexibility in the installation of exhibitions and events it hosts: the arrangement of the rooms enhances the potential of the space, the windows overlooking the atrium have been transformed into functional passageways, and the two courtyards have been made interconnected. Since its inauguration, the venue has hosted exhibitions produced by the Foundation, as well as book and film presentations, debates, conferences, and educational workshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was here that the \u201cFondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Prize\u201d and the \u201cRegione Piemonte Prize\u201d were established, awarded by international juries to the most outstanding artworks and artistic projects. In 2006, the expansion of the exhibition area was completed; in addition to hosting exhibitions and educational department activities, it now also accommodates residencies for international curators.<\/p>\n\n<\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n\n\n
